M. Woods began her artistic career as a photographer, receiving a Certificate of Photographic Technology in 2002. During this time she was introduced to Adobe Photoshop, using it to create photographic collage, digital art, and illustrations.
Melissa worked in the photo industry for several years before deciding to change course and become a lawyer. She practiced law for ten years, while keeping photography, art, and writing as hobbies.
After leaving the practice of law, she dabbled in different areas, becoming a certified yoga and meditation teacher, as well as a life and creativity coach, before returning to her first loves of art and writing.
Her photography and abstract art have been included in several group art shows, winning an honorable mention in the 2020 Fusion Art Still Life Art Exhibition for photography.
M. Woods is also a writer and illustration. Her debut book is due to be published fall 2023.
